Let admins know when a listed BBS is offline.

Where: each BBS row on /bbs-directory has a Report Down button next to Connect.

How to use:

  1. Try to connect to the BBS. If it's unreachable, come back to /bbs-directory.
  2. Click Report Down on that BBS's card (featured) or row (directory).
  3. Confirm. You'll see "Reported" replace the button on that BBS — you can only file one open report per BBS.

What happens behind the scenes:

  • A record is added to bbs_down_reports with your user id, target BBS, and optional reason.
  • An alert thread is posted to the Admin System Log Files forum (visible to staff) with the action type bbs.reported_down — admins see it in their audit feed.
  • A [Reported Down] badge appears on the BBS's card / row immediately for everyone browsing the directory, with a tooltip showing the count of open reports.

Multiple reporters, one tag: if five different users report the same BBS, the tag stays (and the open-report count goes up). The tag clears once an admin Resets the reports or Removes the entry.

Can I un-report? Not currently — but once an admin confirms the BBS is back up and resets the reports, you can report it again if it goes down later.
