[UPDATE] Three improvements to Mod Tools → Forum Settings & Branding.
Cover cropping / editing / moving:
- Pick any image — a 3:1 cropper now opens with a draggable, resizable crop box. Zoom in, slide the frame around, lock in the part of the image that should show.
- On submit, only the cropped region is sent to the server; it is resized to 1500×500 and re-encoded to WebP.
- Icon uploads get the same UI with a 1:1 lock.
- Reuses the existing Cropper.js bundle — no new dependencies.
Higher-contrast default cover:
- Changed the default SVG cover to a vertical gradient (brand color at the top, 45% darker at the bottom) with a bottom-up dark scrim behind the forum name.
- Forum name now renders with a semi-opaque black stroke (paint-order: stroke) so it stays legible on any hue — including light-on-light choices.
- Default icon text color auto-selects white or dark navy based on WCAG relative luminance of the brand color.
Settings page aesthetic:
- Native file inputs hidden behind styled Choose icon / Choose cover buttons (
btn btn-outlinewith an upload icon) that match the rest of the site. - Reset to default downgraded from
btn-danger→btn-outline(reset isn't destructive). - Color picker wrapped in a bordered, rounded container; chosen filename surfaces next to the upload button once selected.
- Cards now use proper card headers, same rhythm as the rest of admin UI.
