Hide Email Domains in Public Username Displays

Current Behavior:
In public-facing areas of the site, such as the “Who is Online” view, some usernames may display the user’s full email address.
Requested Change:
Update public username displays so that email addresses are not shown in full. When a username is based on an email address, only display the portion before the @ symbol and suppress the domain portion.
Expected Outcome:
Users remain generally identifiable in public views without exposing their full email addresses.
Notes:
This change should apply to all public-facing areas where usernames are visible to other users or visitors.
