Notifications: Stay on Top of What Matters
The notification system keeps you informed about activity that involves you directly.
What Triggers Notifications
You will get notified when:
- Someone replies to your thread or post
- Someone mentions you with @username in a post
- You receive a friend request
- Someone accepts your friend request
- You receive a private message
- A thread you are subscribed to gets a new reply
- An admin takes a moderation action on your content
Notification Badge
The bell icon in the navigation bar shows your unread count. Click it to see your notifications. Unread notifications are highlighted so you can spot them quickly.
Tips
- Subscribe to threads you want to follow so you get reply notifications
- Click a notification to jump directly to the relevant post or message
- Notifications are stored indefinitely — scroll back to find older ones
