Open Graph & SEO Structured Data

Links shared on social media now look professional. Every page includes proper metadata so Facebook, Twitter, Discord, and other platforms display rich previews.

Open Graph Tags

Every page now includes:

  • og:title — page-specific title
  • og:description — page-specific excerpt
  • og:image — site logo
  • og:typearticle for threads and projects, website for other pages
  • og:url — canonical URL

Twitter Cards

Twitter/X shows a summary card with title, description, and image when sharing any 6502ish link.

JSON-LD Structured Data

Search engines (Google, Bing) now get rich structured data:

  • WebSite — site-wide schema with search action (enables Google sitelinks search box)
  • DiscussionForumPosting — every forum thread includes author, date, reply count, view count
  • Event — the events page lists upcoming events with dates, locations, and descriptions
  • SoftwareSourceCode — every project page includes author, date, and description

What This Means

When someone shares a thread link on Facebook or Discord, it shows the thread title, a snippet of the first post, and the 6502ish logo — instead of a bare URL. Google can now display richer search results for our content.
