Unlike achievements (automatic, rule-based), badges are manually awarded by admins — for example:
- Contest winners
- Event attendance
- Community contributions
- Beta-tester participation
- Anniversary commemorations
Viewing your badges: your profile lists every badge you've earned, with the date and assigning admin.
Can I request a badge? Badges are nominations, not self-service. If you've done something that deserves recognition, a mod or admin will see it and put you up for one.
