Reference tool showing character mappings for classic 8-bit platforms.

Where: /tools/charsets

What it shows:

  • CP437 (IBM PC / DOS)
  • PETSCII (Commodore)
  • ATASCII (Atari)
  • ISO-8859-1 and common variants

For each charset: the full 256-character grid with the glyph, decimal, hex, and Unicode equivalent where applicable.

Useful for: BBS sysops designing ANSI/PETSCII art, developers writing cross-platform tooling, and anyone translating retro files for modern display.
