If you're the owner of a forum, you can appoint additional moderators to help.
Where: Mod Tools → Manage Mods (or directly /forums/{slug}/moderators).
How to use:
- On the moderators page, type a username in the search box.
- Click Appoint as moderator.
- That user now has mod authority on this forum (can lock threads, ban, edit description, etc.).
Owner privileges on top of mod privileges:
- Can appoint and remove other moderators
- Can transfer ownership via Resign → name a successor
- Cannot be removed from the forum except by a super admin
When to delegate: sleep is a thing, timezones are a thing. A forum with 2–3 active moderators is better than one with a single burned-out owner.
