If you're the owner of a forum, you can appoint additional moderators to help.

Where: Mod Tools → Manage Mods (or directly /forums/{slug}/moderators).

How to use:

  1. On the moderators page, type a username in the search box.
  2. Click Appoint as moderator.
  3. That user now has mod authority on this forum (can lock threads, ban, edit description, etc.).

Owner privileges on top of mod privileges:

  • Can appoint and remove other moderators
  • Can transfer ownership via Resign → name a successor
  • Cannot be removed from the forum except by a super admin

When to delegate: sleep is a thing, timezones are a thing. A forum with 2–3 active moderators is better than one with a single burned-out owner.
