Your Profile: Karma, Ranks, Achievements, and Signatures
Your profile is your home on 6502ish. It shows your activity, your rank in the community, and the achievements you have earned.
Karma and Rank Titles
Every member has a karma score that goes up as you participate. Posting, uploading files, getting upvotes, and helping others all contribute. Your karma determines your rank title:
- Newbie — just getting started
- Member — regular participant
- Regular — consistent contributor (100+ karma)
- Power User — serious community member (1,000+ karma)
- Elite — top-tier contributor (5,000+ karma)
- SysOp — site administrator (role-based)
Trust Levels
Separate from karma, your trust level (0-4) unlocks features as you prove yourself. Higher trust levels can post links, upload files, and access other features that new accounts cannot.
Achievements
Earn achievements by hitting milestones: your first post, first upload, first friend, 100 posts, 1,000 karma, and more. Achievements display on your profile with their icons. Click any achievement to see what it takes to earn it, or visit the Achievements page to see the full list.
Privacy Controls
You control what others see. Set your profile to Public, Friends Only, or Private. Toggle individual fields like location, email, birthday, and real name on or off.
Tips
- Set a profile photo to stand out in threads and friend lists
- Write a bio to let people know what you are into
- Pin up to 3 threads to your profile to highlight your best work
