You own your content. Export it or wipe the account.
Where: /account/delete and /account/data-export.
Data export:
- Visit Account Settings → Export my data.
- The site packages every post, message, friend, upload, and setting into a zip.
- You'll receive an email when the export is ready with a download link (valid for 7 days).
Account deletion:
- Visit
/account/delete. - Read the warnings carefully — deletion is permanent.
- Confirm with your password.
- Your account is anonymized: posts are retained but authorship is replaced with
[deleted]; personal data, messages, avatar, and friends are removed.
If you need a hard deletion (personal data gone, posts gone), contact an admin.
